Universe Analysis

Wilshire Compass
has both Manager Defined and Wilshire Defined peer groups/universes. The
Wilshire defined peer groups use both holdings-based and returns-based styles
analysis to provide style pure peer groups for improved universe comparisons.
The Wilshire
Compass system also
includes a screening utility which allows users to screen the manager
databases using over 250 product specific and business-related criteria.
Users can then create custom peer universes for comparing manager performance and
other portfolio characteristics (i.e., price/earnings ratio, yield, avg.
market capitalization, turnover etc.). I
